England’s Economic Heartland has launched Vision 2050, a competition for students, graduates, apprentices, young professionals and people new to the transport sector.
Entries (no longer than 500 words) should explain how the transport system should change to realise the EEH’s vision of “connecting people and places with opportunities and services” up to 2050.
Entrants can give a broad overview of the future transport system, or focus on a single element, mode or priority principle.
The judging panel includes:
• Professor Sadie Morgan of the National Infrastructure Commission
• Lynda Addison OBE, chair of the sustainable transport panel of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation
• Paul Leinster, chair of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment
• Peter Stonham, editorial director of Local Transport Today
The winner will have their ideas featured in LTT and see them brought to life by spatial design studio 5thStudio. They will also present their ideas to the EEH’s annual conference.
The deadline for entries is 31 December.
