We Connect – with LTTV

01 April 2020

If you are reading this, then you seeing the launch of LTTV, a digital broadcast channel for transport, planning and place professionals. It’s not something we had planned, but extraordinary times produce unexpected responses to evolving needs.

It will offer an independent and trusted communications channel for our professional community, delivered with integrity by our expert staff.

It's coverage will include issues and implications from placemaking to parking, mobility to modelling, highways to TRANStech, with an eye on the short, medium and longer terms.

The need for news and knowledge-sharing is never more important than during times of emergency. The transport, plannng, parking and logistic sectors will have a vital role to play in the weeks and months ahead, and must be ready to support recovery when the time comes. Our intention is to keep our professional community connected without the rich pattern of conferences, seminars and other events that we have all become so used to.

What is LTTV?

LLTV is a new digital broadcast channel for transport, planning and place professionals.

Who is behind LTTV?

LTTV is being launched as a community resource by the Landor LINKS team that also brings you Local Transport Today, Parking Review and TransportXtra, plus a portfolio of leading events, conferences and seminars.

LLTV is a collaborative venture which we are pleased to facilitate, but we're also hoping for your input. We welcome the ideas and involvement of anyone in our community with an interest in exploring the potential for dedicated webinars, webcasts, comment, talking heads, 'Question Time' panels and online discussions.

Why are we launching  LTTV?

We wish to offer a trusted communications channel for our professional community. We have the experts, the technology, the expertise –  and, most importantly, the extensive networks – to offer quality interactive information services. These could include personal stories, live interviews by our editorial staff, talking heads with guest presenters and panellists, plus e-events and seminars.

Is there a cost to view?

No. LTTV is being launched as a free-to-view service.

What can I expect from LTTV?

Since Local Transport Today was launched 30 years ago, its content explored the changing context for local transport in terms of politics, infrastructure investment, financing, social and economic trends, lifestyle changes, the climate emergency, public health, and choices of travel behaviour.

LTTV will continue to investigate these topics – and more – using new ways to share discussion:

  • future mobility

  • active travel

  • data and modelling

  • transport and smart technologies

  • parking and street management

  • behaviour change

  • climate and environment

  • planning and placemaking

How and where can I access LTTV

LTTV will be an on demand service, with both live and recorded sessions available. If you would like to work with us on any of these initiatives, or if you have an idea you'd like to discuss, please contact Daniel Simpson on daniel@landor.co.uk or on +44 (0)20 7091 7861
