Portsmouth City Council has selected civil enforcement agency Bristow & Sutor to collect unpaid road traffic debts.
The contract will focus on outstanding parking and bus lane fines, but also be an integral element of a Clean Air Zone (CAZ) due to introduced in 2022.
The introduction of the CAZ will result in penalty charge notices (PCNs) being issued to vehicles that are non-compliant. The CAZ proposal is currently undergoing additional sensitivity testing as a result of COVID-19.
