Transport for Greater Manchester has taken over the operation of Horwich Parkway railway station after the Office of Rail and Road granted TfGM a station licence. TfGM owns the 1999-built station but until this week it was managed by train operator Northern. Horwich could serve as a pilot for TfGM’s aspirations to manage more stations.
