Bradford Council has identified the site currently occupied by the Bradford’s St James’s Wholesale Market as the planned location for a new city centre Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR) station.
The station would lie on a new mainline between Leeds and Manchester.
Bradford said a city centre NPR station in the city was supported by Transport for the North, Network Rail, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, and the Northern Powerhouse Partnership.
