A lightly-used freight line in southwest Wales could form the basis for a light rail network serving Swansea and its hinterland, says rail think tank Greengauge.  

Greengauge sets out a new role for the Swansea District Line (SDL) in response to the Welsh Government’s consultation on a South West Wales Metro (LTT 19 Mar).
