Transport for London has set out plans to reduce the speed limit to 20mph on its roads in Westminster. In March 2020, TfL introduced a 20mph speed limit on all of its roads within the central London congestion charging zone. It now wants to extend the limit to its remaining roads in Westminster.
This would see the 20mph speed limit on 13km of roads within the borough, including on Marylebone Road, Vauxhall Bridge Road and Edgware Road between the A40 and St John’s Wood Road.
