Sheffield Clean Air Zone delayed until next year

The launch of Sheffield’s Clean Air Zone (CAZ) has been delayed until early next year, with the council pressing central Government to increase grants to support the transition to electric or lower emission vehicles.

The CAZ charge, which was due to start later this year, will apply to buses, taxis, vans, and lorries entering the city centre that do not meet our emissions standards, but private cars, motorbikes and mopeds will be exempt. Smaller vehicles will be charged £10 a day...
