Welsh local authorities set out plans for 20mph limit exceptions

Local authorities in Wales have started to provide details of how they propose to apply the exceptions process when 20mph becomes the default limit on restricted roads in September.

Four of the 22 unitary authorities have placed map data on a Welsh Government portal to show where restricted roads are proposed to remain at 30mph, by means of exception orders, and where 20mph will apply. This includes data for trunk roads, which are the government’s responsibility.
