Active travel training schemes to get £60m from DfT

School and cycle training programmes are to receive £60m in Government funding over the next two years. Allocation of funding will be overseen by Active Travel England (ATE), the executive agency sponsored by the DfT.

The funding will mean that up to two million more children will have access to walk to school programmes and cycle training programmes, said ATE.
