The bank details of about 5,000 Transport for London (TfL) customers may have been accessed following a cyber attack. Bank account numbers and sort codes were accessed, along with some customer names and contact details including email addresses and home addresses, said TfL, adding that some Oyster card refund data may also have been accessed.

In addition, an unknown number of passengers who had signed up to TfL email alerts – for example, for regular email bulletins on the Elizabeth line...
