Transport Secretary Louise Haigh has officially opened the new Siemens rail manufacturing plant in Goole which will build new Piccadilly Line Underground trains for London.

The new £200 million site is supporting 700 high-skilled jobs to manufacture almost 100 new state-of-the-art Piccadilly Line trains.

Siemens Mobility has also announced up to a further £40 million towards a new Bogie Assembly and Service Centre at the site which will create up to 200 more jobs.
