Guildford drivers warned after reports of fake parking codes

Drivers in Guildford have been warned about fake QR codes being posted on parking machines.

In a Facebook post, Surrey County Council's highways team said it had received reports of fraudulent codes designed to trick people into entering payment details on unofficial sites that look like RingGo’s site.

The council advised residents and visitors to the area that QR (quick response) codes are not used by RingGo for parking payments.
