Charity calls on Alexander to ban floating bus stops

A charity has urged new Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander to ban the installation of any more floating bus stops and shared used bus boarders. The National Federation of the Blind of the UK (NFBUK) argues that the design, which normally involves a segregated cycleway running behind the passenger boarding area at a bus stop, pose a threat to bus passengers.
