South Western Railway set to be first service to come back under public control

South Western Railway’s services will become the first to transfer to public ownership in May 2025 when its contract expires, new Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander has announced.

Trains run by c2c and Greater Anglia will follow suit by July 2025 autumn 2025 respectively.
