Some of the £2.5bn saved from scrapping the A303 Stonehenge and A358 road schemes should be invested in rail, bus and active travel in the South West, says a new report from campaign group Transport Action Network (TAN). The report, produced for TAN by transport policy experts Greengauge 21, calls on the Government to invest in measures designed to reduce car dependence and additional pressures on the road network between the M3 to the east and the M5 to the west.
