A new multi-storey car park has been proposed for the centre of Wakefield.
During 2023 Wakefield Council revealed proposals to build a car park on the existing Borough Road car park in order to offset the loss of nearby spaces after plans to build homes on car parks on Rishworth Street and Gills Yard were brought forward
The council is expected to enter into a pre-development agreement with a developer that would see designs for the car park brought forward.
