A total of 45 public parking spaces are set to be re-designated for private use at Isle of Man Airport.
The change will reduce parking from 595 to 545.
The Department of Infrastructure said the move was aimed at accommodating the growing demand for car rentals and valet services.
The department said provision was sufficient to meet passenger volumes, but contingency areas will allow for any increase in demand.
