Transport Levy in West Midlands increased by £3.65m to address ‘funding gaps’

West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) has approved plans to increase its Transport Levy for 2025/26 by 3% from £119.4m to £122.9m.

The increase would “address some of the pressures within transport” caused by issues such as inflation, loss of funding and decisions not to increase it previously, said WMCA’s board.
