Road user charging has been excluded from the Cardiff Capital Region’s draft Regional Transport Delivery Plan, which lists the transport priorities of local government for 2025 to 2030. The Welsh Government told LTT last week that it is focused on delivering other transport priorities.

Cardiff Council proposed a road user charging scheme in its Transport White Paper in January 2020. Its preferred option was a £2 charge for vehicles entering the city, with Cardiff residents exempt....
