Commitments renewed to northern rail and rapid transit plans

The Prime Minister has announced what he says is £415m of new funding to improve rail links between Huddersfield, Manchester, Leeds and York. Speaking on a visit to Huddersfield, in West Yorkshire, after his own train was delayed, he committed to improving the Liverpool-Hull corridor, aiding connectivity between the North of England’s biggest cities.
