Collins: Offering staff level of uncertainty very few Londoners have

 

London Underground chief operating officer, Howard Collins, has said that the RMT is making "vastly inflated pay demands" and ignoring a duplication of back office roles, following the union's proposed 48-hour strike next month.

The RMT has said that a pay increase of anything less than 5% would be simply unacceptable and has called for a reduction in working hours without loss of pay and improved travel facilities.

LU said that it offered staff a fair and affordable deal of a 1%...
