Go Ahead expanded its bus interests with the capture of the 180-vehicle Plymouth Citybus business.
The council-owned firm was put up for sale at the start of 2009 and Go?Ahead faced stiff competition from Stagecoach to acquire the business. Plymouth City Council, which will receive £20m for the business, has faced stiff opposition to the sale from transport unions and local resident.
