Bus industry investment at lowest level for 15 years says new report

Capital investment in the UK bus industry fell to its lowest level for 15 years in 2007/08, even before the recession and credit crunch took hold of the economy, according to new analysis from transport consultants TAS.

TAS undertakes independent monitoring of the UK bus industry and tracks both the capital expenditure of 118 local bus operators and the total purchases of new bus and coaches as well as trends in revenues, costs and profit levels.
