I sympathise with Roger Davies’ comments about stations on High Speed 1. To be fair, Ashford International would not be a white elephant if Eurostar would stop more of their trains there! It is in exactly the right place for easy rail connections throughout East and Mid-Kent – and potentially East Sussex. We in Railfuture (then the Rail Development Society) helped Ashford Borough Council persuade Union Railways to put this station where it is, and not out in the countryside at...
