Trams won’t roll until 2014, says Edinburgh

Edinburgh’s citizens will have to wait at least another three years before trams start running in the city.

The new target opening date for the airport-St Andrew Square line of summer 2014 – three years later than originally planned – was announced last week as the council reached a settlement agreement with contractors Bilfinger Berger and Siemens to complete the route.
