Aecom studies equitable car demand management for Scotland

Aecom is undertaking research on how car use in Scotland could be discouraged in ways which are fair to different groups of people.

The Scottish Government has set a target of reducing the annual number of car kilometres by 20% by 2030, against a 2019 baseline. It is working with the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities to finalise a route map to achieve the reduction. An earlier version of the route map was published in January 2022.
