Cubic Transportation Systems has launched a new Video Ticket Office (VTO), developed in response to operators’ needs to meet passengers’ continuing demand for personal interaction in transactions. With industry estimates showing that ticket offices will continue to fulfil between 10% and 30% of sales for the foreseeable future, the VTO allows passengers using automated machines to be in contact with staff at all times via a high-speed video link with a central ticket office.
