Learn from France to make HS2 a success, says planning guru

A planning expert has urged the Government to learn from France and integrate the delivery of high-speed rail with regional regeneration programmes and investments in local transport.

Professor Peter Hall of University College London praised the French approach to high-speed rail at a meeting of the Independent Transport Commission in London.
