Nexus has no need to justify its existence with bus QCs

I am sure LTT readers will welcome the expert and balanced analysis you provided of the Tyne and Wear Quality Contracts Scheme proposal (‘Nexus takes the plunge to bring bus QCs to the streets of Tyne and Wear’, LTT 09 Aug).

I would, however, like to correct one important point – it is not true, as you quoted an unnamed source as saying, that Nexus has a diminished role in respect of the Tyne and Wear Metro.

In fact we are delivering a record £385m major scheme...
