Girl knocked down outside school was hidden by illegally parked van

A six-year old girl was knocked down outside a school in Edinburgh after running out from behind an illegally parked van. The incident occurred outside Bonaly Primary School on 15 May. 

Police Scotland said the girl was struck by a passing vehicle, seriously injuring her foot, as she crossed the road behind a van parked on double yellow lines.
