Shake-up for Scots bus service registrations

Bus operators in Scotland will have to consult local authorities on proposed service changes as part of a proposed shake-up to bus service registrations by Transport Scotland. 

Operators currently have to notify councils (and Strathclyde Partnership for Transport) of  new routes, changes and service withdrawals 14 days before submitting an application for registration with the Traffic Commissioner.
