Southern smartcards adapt to Oyster

Southern Train passengers are now able to use their  ‘Key’ smartcards to buy tickets to London, including weekly, monthly and annual travelcards. 

The scheme, which adapts Transport for London’s proprietary Oyster smartcard technology to to read ITSO-compliant cards, was officially launched by the transport minister, Baroness Kramer, on 17 September.
