No 10-minute grace period for Wales and Scotland

A 10-minute grace period for parking overstays may have become law in England, but both the Welsh and Scottish governments stress they have no plans to do the same.

A Transport Scotland spokeswoman said: “The operation of local authority car parking in Scotland is a matter for individual local roads authorities, who are expected to operate within the relevant statutory regimes. Transport Scotland has no plans to review these regimes.”
