VINCI Park France is piloting a phone-based near field communication (NFC) option in Caen. VINCI Park has worked with mobile network operator Orange to add parking to the Simplypass smartphone app.
The app stores a virtual parking ticket created when a driver enters the car park. A payment module is being developed so parking can be paid for directly via the app.
