Brice talks up the positives for Sustrans in leaner times

Xavier Brice, the new chief executive at Sustrans, tells Deniz Huseyin about his plans for the charity at a time when Government funding for active travel is not as generous as it once was

For a man who has taken charge of an organisation going through difficult times, Xavier Brice appears remarkably upbeat. That said, he makes no effort to play down Sustrans’ woes; as LTT reported earlier this month, the active travel charity has been forced to shed a quarter of its workforce in response to a significant drop in Government funding for active travel (LTT 02 Sep).
