General Motors and IBM are to work in partnership to launch a “cognitive mobility platform” that will use machine learning technology, data analysis and partnerships to make drivers more efficient.

The partnership will see the IBM Watson artificial intelligence platform used to enhance GM’s existing OnStar AtYourService. The new OnStar Go system will enable drivers to avoid traffic congestion when they low are on fuel or order a cup of coffee while on the go.
