A major UK airport broke competition law by agreeing to fix the price of parking services with an off-airport operator, the first competition probe undertaken by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has found. However, East Midlands International Airport (EMIA) escaped a fine of almost £12.5m after admitting to the illegal agreement and co-operating in the CAA’s investigation.
