Yorkshire paper takes aim at Government delay over road safety consultation

A local paper took up the cause of improved road safety for the whole nation by being strongly critical of the Government’s failure to do more to curb dangerous driving behaviour.

On 26 June Bradford’s Telegraph & Argus devoted an unusual amount of coverage (for both itself and most other local papers) to road safety issues. “How much longer must we hang on for action on danger drivers?” a lengthy editorial in the paper began. “Bradford has had enough.
