The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is commissioning a study of extending Crossrail 1 services from Stratford to Barking and further into the Thames Gateway.
Under Transport for London’s current plans, eastbound trains on Crossrail 1 (the Elizabeth Line) will run to Shenfield in Essex and Abbey Wood in south-east London.
The Shenfield services will pass through Stratford, and Barking and Dagenham council wants some of them diverted.
