Dumfries and Galloway Council has criticised some of the evidence underpinning a plan to make 20mph the default speed limit on most of Scotland’s local roads.   

Green MSP Mark Ruskell’s Restricted Roads (20mph limit) Scotland Bill would make 20mph, rather than 30mph, the default limit on ‘restricted roads’ – non A and B roads within urban areas. A consultation on the proposal has just ended.
