The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has launched the initial phase of a smart parking project covering controlled parking at Al-Rigga and the World Trade Centre areas.

The real-time occupancy information of sub-zones in Rigga area is displayed in the RTA app that also allows payment of parking fees without the additional charge for SMS. Parking sensors are being used to provide real-time parking information.
