The RAC Foundation says nearly a million extra PCNs have been issued by private parking companies over the past year, but the BPA has a different view.

The number of parking charge notices being issued to drivers parking on private land has risen by almost a million in just 12 months to a new high, analysis of official data by the RAC Foundation suggests. The motoring research organisation said its examination of DVLA data shows that in the last financial year (2017-18) some 5.65 million sets of vehicle keeper records were released to car parking management companies. This compares with the 4.71 million sets of records released to parking...
