A plan to rebuild Cardiff Central railway station to cope with growing passenger numbers is moving to the next stage of development.
Cardiff Central had an estimated 14.2 million entries and exits in 2018/19. With higher local service frequencies planned, this is forecast to grow to 22 million by 2023 and 32 million by 2043, according to a report presented to the Cardiff Capital Region Transport Authority last month.
