Seven projects have received a share of £2.4m to trial 5G applications in transport in the West Midlands.
The funding has been awarded by West Midlands 5G Ltd, which has been set up by the Government and the West Midlands Combined Authority to trial applications of 5G, the next generation of mobile technology, which is five to ten times faster than 4G.
