‘Pop-up cycle lanes’ proving popular, TfWM survey finds

Schemes to encourage walking and cycling in the West Midlands, made possible by the Government’s Emergency Active Travel Fund (EATF), have been largely welcomed by the public, according to a survey. “Pop-up cycle lanes” were backed by 65 per cent while 23 per cent were opposed, revealed the on-line survey carried out by Transport for the West Midlands (TfWM).

Some 63 per cent were in favour of bus and cycling lanes on main travel corridors while 24 per cent were opposed. More...
