The A487 Caernarfon bypass has opened a day later than had been planned as The Welsh Government did not wish to attract any unnecessary travel by opening during Storm Eunice on 18 February.

The £139m bypass should end seasonal traffic queues in Caernarfon and Bontnewydd. It will also make the Ll?n Peninsula more accessible, both  for tourism , and potentially more attractive to people seeking to buy holiday homes.
