The North Wales Transport Commission, chaired by Lord Burns, has suggested that a pilot be undertaken on Anglesey (Ynys Môn) of “total transport”, where budgets and fleets of public sector passenger vehicles would be merged.

The commission’s final report, published shortly before Christmas, makes many other recommendations for improving the region’s transport. The commission was set up after the Sloman Review of Welsh roads policy resulted in most North Wales road...
