Pothole compensation claims more than double in a year, RAC analysis shows

Driver compensation claims made to councils after pothole damage more than doubled in a year, according to new data.

Analysis by the RAC found that that in the 12 months between 2022 and 2023 compensation claims to 18 councils with the longest road networks increased from 8,327 to 20,432.
