Older transport workers to be targeted by skills council

A new learning programme for older passenger transport workers has been launched in Scotland by the skills council, Go Skills. The Experience Counts project will aim to "develop and improve older workers' employability skills" the organisation said.

In a statement, Go Skills said it would be collaborating with employers and training organisations to retain older staff, improve training and "recognise the significant role that people aged 50 and over play in the workforce."...
